Jalapão and his charms

Jalapão is an incredible and impressive destination of Brazilian ecotourism located in Tocantins.
Found in the heart of the country, on the border with Bahia, Maranhão and Piauí, the neighborhood is an oasis of water amid the semi-arid vegetation, alternating rivers, waterfalls and ferveds, as well as dunes, plateaus, conditions that guarantee a fantastic diversity of animals and plants.
And the most advantageous: everything is practically in its original state, since, because of the distance and the complicated access, the destiny has remained isolated and preserved.
In order for the region to remain so, it is inserted in several preservation units, such as Jalapão State Park; the National Park of the Springs of the Parnaíba River; the Serra Geral do Tocantins Ecological Station; the Serra da Tabatinga Environmental Preservation Area (APA); and the Jalapão Environmental Protection Area (APA).
In the Environmental Protection Area of Jalapão, several Cerrado phytophysiognomies are found: Typical Cerrado, Cerrado, Cerradão, Cerrado, Cerrado, Mata Ripária, Cerrado de Mata Seca, which shelter a great diversity of the flora and fauna of this biome. Among the most sought after attractions are the Cachoeira da Velha, a waterfall shaped like a horseshoe, approximately 100 meters wide and 15 meters high;
